Meet the Levaco family — an anything-but-average working-class family from New Jersey — whose teenage daughter, Kimberly, was born with a condition that causes her to age four and half times faster than everyone else. Watch how Kimberly navigates high school, her very pregnant mother, her drunken father, her criminal aunt… and maybe even her first boyfriend? Footlighters’ own President of the Board, Pam Lambert, stars as Kimberly in this outrageously funny and deeply moving play, recently adapted into a Tony Award–winning musical.

About the Series:

Between the Lines is Redlands Footlighters’ new staged reading series where theatre meets conversation. Featuring thought-provoking plays driven by big questions rather than big spectacle, each reading focuses on rich language, compelling characters, and moral, philosophical, and social ideas. Join us for a Saturday matinee performance followed by an optional, facilitated engagement experience—including guided discussions, simple creative prompts, and shared reflection. 


This special event series is not included in the 2026-27 Season Ticket packages.

Footlighters was founded in 1945 by four friends with a passion for theatre and a commitment to the arts community in Redlands. We need YOU to help build the next version of this exemplary theatre.

After several decades of performances in downtown Redlands, Footlighters members built the current building and moved to Barton Road in 1980. The facilities have served us well for 45 years but now require significant upgrades and expansion to meet the needs of our community.
